Lisbon Full Day City Tour – 8 Hours
This tour will take the visitors through the most important and historical places of the city.
Meeting with your private guide at the hotel lobby. Drive to Parque Eduardo VII for a short stop, here you will have one of the most beautiful views of the city (Marquis Pombal Square, Tejo River, São Jorge Castle, and Bairro Alto Hill. Continuing through Liberdade Avenue, Restauradores and Rossio Squares to Comércio Square.
Here we will walk through the oldest quarter of the city. Alfama with is structure of the medieval structure
city, full of labyrinthine narrow streets, steep stairways, alleys, and tiny squares that lead us to the
São Jorge Castle.
On the way to the Bairro Alto Hill by tram, we will see the Santo António Church, the Cathedral(Symbol of Lisbon Christianity). Bairro Alto, a section of Fado singers, is a bohemian haunt of artists and writers. Visit Solar do Vinho do Porto to taste this amazing wine.
Free lunch. After lunch, departure to Belém along the riverside with sights of one of the world's leading cruise destinations.
On the way to Belém, the most monumental and historical quarter, we pass by Belém Palace, the official residence of the President of Portugal. Stop at Belém Tower – icon of the Age of Discovery, the Monument of the Discoveries – evoking the maritime expansion, Jeronimos Monastery – a magnificent example of the Manueline style, the most impressive symbol of Portugal's power and wealth during the Age, and visit the Church. Stop at the legendary “Confeitaria de Belém” bakery, where you will enjoy the typical custard cream cake “Pasteis de Belém”.
On the way back, we go by the Restelo district, a sumptuous residential area and a chic ambassador's district, Monsanto Park, the XVII century aqueduct, Espanha Square, Campo Pequeno Square with the bullfight ring dated from the XIX century, and República Avenue.
